About 

Hazel Martin is a Scottish journalist and documentary maker with a decade of experience in news and current affairs. Currently at BBC Scotland News, Hazel is a reporter, production journalist and TV presenter with a special interest in documentaries, investigations and original journalism.

Hazel began her journalism career in local radio in 2014 and became a Multi Media News and Sport Reporter for Tay FM in 2016.

In 2018, Hazel began working at the BBC joining the BBC Scotland Channel's flagship news programme, 'The Nine'.  

Hazel made her documentary debut with BBC Disclosure in 2021.

Her most recent work includes 'Panorama: There's a Gangster in my Flat' (2026), 'The Man in the Mask: An Orkney Murder' (2025) and "Panorama: Binge Drinking and Me" (2024).
